Fabrice Roger-Lacan was born in 1966. His writing career began in film, working with directors from different spheres, including Édouard Baer, Benoît Jacquot, Frédéric Jardin and Isabelle Nanty among others. His first play, Cravate Club, opened at the Gaîté Montparnasse in 2001, staged by Isabelle Nanty and starring Edouard Baer and Charles Berling. It was awarded the Young Theater Prize from the Académie Française. Subsequent plays include Irrésistible (2005, Théâtre Hébertot), with Virginie Ledoyen and Arié Elmaleh, staged by Isabelle Nanty, Chien-chien (2010, Théâtre de l’Atelier), with Alice Taglioni and Elodie Navarre, and Quelqu’un comme vous (2011, Théâtre du Rond-Point) with Jacques Weber and Benabar, staged by Isabelle Nanty. His plays have all been published by éditions de l’Avant-Scène-Les Quatre vents. They have been translated and performed in numerous countries (Germany, England, Argentina, Italy, Spain, Poland, Turkey).
