Antoine Rault is a French writer, novelist and playwright, born September 28, 1965 in Paris, where he lives.
After literary studies he earned a degree from Sciences-Po in Paris.
In addition to his writing he has worked in a variety of professions in the communications field for the past fifteen years. He is ‘‘the pen’’ for figures in the world of business and politics as well as advisor to a government minister.
Due to the success of his play Le Caïman he has devoted himself entirely to writing and the theater since 2006. His plays have met with success in France and abroad.

He has written the following plays: La Première Tête (Comédie de Paris, dir. by Gérard Maro, 1989); Le Caïman (théâtre Montparnasse, dir. by Hans Peter Cloos, 2005-2007; Ed. l’Avant-Scène Théâtre); Le Diable rouge (théâtre Montparnasse, dir. by Christophe Lidon, 2008-2010; Ed. l’Avant-Scène Théâtre); Le Démon de Hannah (Comédie des Champs-Elysées, dir. by Michel Fagadau, 2009; Ed. Albin Michel); La Vie sinon rien (théâtre Les Gémeaux, Sceaux, Scène Nationale, then at the Comédie des Champs-Elysées in Paris, at the Lucernaire in Paris, staged and performed by Bruno Abraham-Kremer, 2009-2011; Ed. Les Quatre Vents – l’Avant-Scène Théâtre); L’Intrus (Comédie des Champs-Elysées, dir. by Christophe Lidon, 2011-2012; Ed. Albin Michel).
Le Caïman was awarded First Prize from the Académie française in 2006, the Béatrix Dussane-André Roussin Prix du Jeune Théâtre as well as 5 nominations at the 2006 Molières including Best Production.
Le Diable rouge received 7 nominations at the 2009 Molières including Best Production and Best Playwright.
He was nominated for the Globes de Cristal in 2009.
Le Démon de Hannah received 1 nomination at the 2010 Molières and was nominated for the Globes de Cristal in 2010.
For the radio he has written: Déjanire ou la femme d’Hercule (France-Culture) and Le Chant des cygnes (France-Inter).
He has written one novel, Je veux que tu m’aimes, published in 2010 by Albin Michel.
