Magali Mougel teaches at the Université de Strasbourg and gives acting and writing workshops in rural areas on a regular basis. After obtaining a Masters in Performing Arts she joined the ENSATT writing department, directed by Enzo Cormann, in 2008.
Her plays include Varvara essai 1 and Waterlily essai 2, prize-winners at the Journées de Lyon des auteurs de Théâtre in 2007, Lili essai 3, Penthy sur la bande, Lilith on the Beach, and Erwin Motor / Devotion. In 2010-2011 she was the Dégadézo company’s dramaturge for the opening of Romane – en bateau entre une chaise et un mot and wrote the text for Pièce A4 mains which opened in December 2010 at the Musée Würth France Erstein then at the Grand Bleu in Lille. She is also an associate playwright for the Cie Actémobazar for the project Sur les sentiers du théâtre and wrote the text for the company’s latest production, A belles dents, staged in April 2010 at the TJP in Strasbourg.
