Laurent Baffie was born on April 18, 1958 in Montreuil, Seine Saint-Denis. He is a French playwright, actor, radio and television presenter, stage and film director.
He began writing sketches in 1985, in particular for Jean-Marie Bigard, who emceed the TV show La Classe on FR3. Since then he has been involved in writing all his friend’s shows.
In 1990 he created and emceed the show Vas-y, fais-nous rire on Fun Radio.
In 1993 he emceed Ze Baffie Show on Skyrock with the help of Jarlot, one of his young collaborators at the time.
In 1999 he launched C'est quoi ce bordel on Europe 2.
In 2001 he staged the play Sexe, magouilles et culture générale, a big hit that ran for months.
In 2005 he wrote and staged Toc toc starring Daniel Russo, Marilou Berry, Bernard Dheran, Sophie Mounicot, Yvon Martin. Contrary to his previous play, he did not act in this one. The play, for which Marilou Berry was awarded a Molière, was also a huge hit.
In 2003 he directed his first feature-length film, Les Clefs de bagnole, in which he starred along with Daniel Russo.
From September 9, 2007 to July 3, 2011 He started doing radio shows again, on Europe 1. The show, broadcast on Sundays from 11am to noon, used some of the concepts from C'est quoi ce bordel ? Since September 25, 2011 he has been back on Rire et Chansons, featuring the same concept used on his Europe 1 show.
In 2008: Un point c'est tout ! by Laurent Baffie, directed by the playwright, Théâtre du Palais-Royal.
In 2010, he staged a one-man-show: Laurent Baffie est un sale gosse, at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal from May 7 to June 30 after a long tour in France.
In 2011 he gave a final performance of his one-man-show, Laurent Baffie Est Un Sale Gosse, at the Olympia on June 20.
In 2011 he is appearing in his play, Les Bonobos, at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris starting September 9, 2011.
