After a detour into psychoanalysis and classes by Roland Gori and Marcel Thaon at the Psychopathology Training and Research Department in Aix-en-Provence, Marie-Pierre Cattino decided she wanted to write and studied with Michel Azama at the école Jacques Lecoq in 2002- 2003.

Her plays have been read and performed on national stages such as the Théâtre du Volcan in Le Havre, and in cultural centers, regional theaters (Eu, Nancy, Avignon, Lyon) and museums.
Marie-Pierre Cattino's plays have been performed abroad - in Rome, Luxembourg City, Zagreb, Pristina and Nis.
Since 2007 she has taken part in seminars such as Le bonheur d’être adolescent (The Joy of Adolescence), in partnership with La Maison des ados in Le Havre and the Théâtre du Volcan, September 2008.
The Stage Theater and Marguerite Duras, organized by Mary Noonan, UCC in Cork, Ireland, November 2014. In preparation: a publication containing a multiauthor volume edited by Joëlle Pagès and Mary Noonan.
