Pascal Brullemans builds his plays around exploring the ambiguous relationship between writing and the performing arts. His projects have taken him from France to Mexico and they are often filled with bravura passages. His 2002 adaptation of La Dame aux Camélias won a prize for the best regional production in Quebec. Later, in 2005, his original piece, Hippocampe, was awarded the Montreal critics’ prize. After a first play for a young audience called L’Armoire, the author continued in the same vein with Isberg, another play for teenagers. His latest play Vipérine was awarded the prize for best text for a young audience by the TNG Lyons in 2011. The author continues to write multimedia scripts that have won him a number of awards.
