Julie Rossello – Rochet, after studying law, literature and Spanish in Lyon, Montreal and Madrid, enrolled in the Writing department headed by Enzo Cormann at ENSATT, then in the Performing Arts program at ENS-Lyon. She is a PhD candidate under the direction of Jean-Loup Rivière and Olivier Neveux, and dramaturg with Mathieu Bertholet, MuFuThe Cie, in French-speaking Switzerland. She has written Vals con algunas naranjas y un poco de agua (2009), Zone performed at the Pavillon Rhône-Alpes at Expo 2010 Shanghai China, DUO, (lorsqu’un oiseau se pose sur une toile blanche) (2010, production grant from the CNT), recorded by France Culture at Théâtre Ouvert in 2013 and read at the Mousson d’été, three puppet plays: Cartouche and Dia de los muertos for Emilie Valantin (Le « Castelet des scriptophages », performed at the CDN de Valence, at the World Puppet Festival in Charleville-Mézières in 2012) and Cage. She has written Quartier Général for Guillaume Fulconis (‘‘start-up’’ grant from the Théâtre en mai festival) and Du sang sur les roses, procès de Penthésilée Von Kleist for Lucie Rébéré (finalist in Paris Jeune Talent). She has taught at La Manufacture (Lausanne), at the Shanghai Theatre Academy (China) and at ENSATT, and is currently teaching at ENS-Lyon. She writes for the arts and politics review MOUVEMENT. |
