Clémence Weill trained to be an actress at the Ecole Claude Mathieu while also pursuing studies in Art History at the Sorbonne.
She has worked, among others, with Jean-Louis Hourdin, Matthias Langhoff, Emmanuel Demarcy Mota, Marie Vaiana, Didier Bailly, Jacques Hadjaje and in many street performances.
Since 2006 she has adapted and staged L’Opéra du Dragon by Heiner Muller, Mars, adapted from Fritz Zorn, La Ménagerie de verre by Tennessee Williams, Mesure pour mesure by Shakespeare, Une fable sans importance - ou l’importance d’être Oscar Wilde (co-written with Charles Decroix; Phénix Scène Nationale de Valenciennes, théâtre du Lierre).
Having trained to be a musician, she directed L’Histoire de Melody Nelson and L’Enfant assassin des mouches with Jean-Claude Vannier at the Cité de la musique in 2009.

She has written:
Plus ou moins l’infini, during a residency at the Chartreuse de Villeneuve les Avignon in 2013;
Weltschmerz 2, conférence désemparée (opening in 2015);
Morning Personne – fresque historico-familiale adapted from Calderon by Pasolini;
T.R.A.U.M.E., staged in Alsace in the spring of 2014 by Stoken Teartet’.
Pierre. Ciseaux. Papier.was awarded the Grand Prix de Littérature Dramatique, the Journée de Lyon des Auteurs Prize and a grant from the Centre National du Théâtre. The play was published by Editions Théâtrales and is to be staged in 2016 by Laurent Brethome and Cie du Menteur Volontaire.
She is currently working with Cie Rêvages on staging Les Petites Filles par A+B, to be performed at Grand Bleu, scène conventionnée de Lille in March 2015.
For several years she has also led acting and writing workshops for children, teenagers and adult amateurs.
In the summer of 2014 Clémence co-founded the ACMÉ writers’ club (Appuyés Contre un Mur qui s’Écroule) with Aurianne Abécassis, Marc-Antoine Cyr, Solenn Denis and Jérémie Fabre.
