Murielle Magellan wrote her first play, La Saveur subtile des dinosaures, in 1996 (first staged at the Théâtre de Massy-Palaiseau then at the Théâtre de Nesles in Paris). Her second play, Pierre et Papillon, was awarded the Prix Beaumarchais-SACD 2002 and performed in Avignon (staged by C. Luthringer, Théâtre de la Manufacture), then in Paris (Cinéâtre 13 and Théâtre des Mathurins). In 2004, director Bernard Murat staged her play Traits d’Union starring François Marthouret and Caroline Silhol on the main stage at the Théâtre des Mathurins. Pierre et Papillon and Traits d’Union were published by l’Avant-Scène.
Murielle Magellan was on the Théâtre du Rond-Point reading committee from 2004 to 2008, and in 2010 wrote Bye Bye Mylène (Editions des Quatre-Vents), read at the Théâtre des Mathurins by Alexie Ribes and Ariane Ascaride and staged by Anne Bourgeois as part of the Le Paris des Femmes Festival.
She is also a novelist (Le Lendemain Gabrielle, Un refrain sur les murs -Prix Horizon du deuxième roman-, N’Oublie Pas Les Oiseaux and, Les Indociles, published by Editions Julliard) and a screenwriter for film and television.
