Jean-François Champion made his stage debut at the age of 11, then became the youngest host on RTL radio and RTL television.
He has written and performed a television adaptation of a Grand Orchestre du Splendid production, Sexe, violence et opérette, with Xavier Thibault, as well as numerous sketches for television programmes on TF1, FR3 (La Classe), and later with Philippe Bouvard (Bouvard du rire).
He has helped write many one-man shows for the imitator Patrick Adler, including Adler imite les dégâts (Th. Dejazet, Paris 1990), Maman n’est pas contente (dir. by Cl. Confortès, Petit Théâtre de Paris), À la poursuite du hochet vert (dir. by J.-L. Moreau, Comédie de Paris, 1998). Also: Le Surbook (a play co-written with Danielle Ryan for Vincent Lagaf, Th. de la Michodière, Paris 1995), C’est la Loeb! (collaborated on a production featuring Dominique de Lacoste (ex Vamp) at the Palais des Glaces, and one with Caroline Loeb (Sentier des Halles), Paris), co-wrote a show for Patrick Adler with Rita Brantalou for Hélène Ségara’s première (2001-2002 tour and at the Olympia), Faut-il tuer le clown ? (dir. by Michel Roux and Alexandra Stewart (Comédie de Paris), Ainsi soit-elle (dir. by Jean-Luc Moreau), a one-man show with Terry Kevin (collaboration, Festival d’Avignon).
