Rémi De Vos
1963: Is born in Dunkerque; has an ordinary childhood.
1976 - 1981: Adolescence.
1981: Secondary School diploma in Philosophy & Arts. Decides not to continue his studies. Goes to Paris.
1981 - 1993: Different professions. Trips to Israel, Algeria, New-York…
1993: Starts writing. Bourse Beaumarchais pour Débrayage.
1995: His relationship to men changes when he becomes the father of one.
1996: He stages Débrayage with the help of Éric Vigner. Goes into debt.
1997: He co-writes André le magnifique with the actors in the play (Molière for Best playwright, Best New Production, Best Comic Play, Most Promising Male and Female Talent 98). Gets replenished...
1998: Award-winner of the “En-Quête d’auteurs - AFAA/Beaumarchais” program. Spends several months in Paraguay. Writes Projection Privée and Conviction Intime.
1999: Is awarded a CNL grant. Takes a trip to Vietnam. Receives a writing grant from the Ministry of Culture. Buys a new computer.
2000: Premieres of Conviction intime and Projection privée (staged by Alain Barsacq.) He writes La Camoufle.
2001: Premiere of La Camoufle (staged by Laurent Vacher).
2002: He writes Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare.
2003: He writes Laisse-moi te dire une chose. Leads a writing workshop in Peru.
2004: He writes Occident. He writes Ma Petite Jeune fille for Hervé Guilloteau.
2005: He becomes an associate playwright at the CDDB - CDN de Lorient. Premieres of Ma Petite Jeune fille, Laisse-moi te dire une chose, Bilan sur la maîtrise du poste (puppet theater) He writes Alpenstock. Writing residency in Beirut.
2006: Premieres of Occident (staged by Hervé Guilloteau) and Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare (staged by Éric Vigner). Is awarded the Prix Diane et Lucien Barrière for Jusqu'à ce que la mort nous sépare. He writes Beyrouth Hotel. He writes Intendance - saison 1 for students at CNSAD (staged by Christophe Rauck.) Occident opens in Brussels.
2007: Translates Othello with Éric Vigner. Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare, Occident, La Camoufle, Intendance are performed in Paris. Occident opens in Milan. He writes Le Ravissement d’Adèle.
2008: Alpenstock opens in Athens in Greek. Le Ravissement d’Adèle opens in Bussang (staged by Pierre Guillois). Premiere of Othello, CDDB-Odéon (staged by Éric Vigner.) Premiere of Beyrouth Hôtel at the Studio des Champs-Elysées (staged by Niels Arestrup.)
2009: He writes Sextett. Occident opens in Lima (Peru) in Spanish (staged by Gilbert Rouvière). He writes a film script (Tout le plaisir est pour vous) with Thibaud Staïb and Nina Roberts. Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare opens in Buenos-Aires in Spanish (staged by Paul Desvaux). Premiere of Sextett (staged by Éric Vigner.) He writes Intérimaire for Anne-Laure Liégeois. He writes En difficulté for France-Culture. Sextett opens in Lorient on October 5th, then at the Théâtre du Rond-Point on October 15th. Premiere of Débrayage (5 excerpts and one new piece) at the CDN de Montluçon (staged by Anne-Laure Liégeois). Premiere of Alpenstock at the Théâtre de Vanves, (staged by David Lejard-Ruffet.
2010: Sextett opens in Montreal. Premiere of Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare in Kiev in Ukrainian (staged by Christophe Feutrier). He buys a new computer. He writes a play for Christophe Rauck. Occident opens at the TGP. Alpenstock at the Théâtre du Lucernaire in Paris. He stages Projection privée at La Maison du Comédien - Maria Casares. He takes a trip to Kinshasa (DRC). He writes a play for Philipe Boulay. Gilbert Rouvière stages Intendance - saison 1 in Carcassonne. He stages La Folle Épopée de Stan Kokovitch, acteur by Renaud Danner at the Lucernaire. Premiere of Jusqu’à ce que la mort nous sépare in Madrid.
