Eric Assous An interview with Eric Assous

Eric Assous has two plays currently running in Paris: Les hommes préfèrent mentir at the Théâtre Saint-Georges, and L’Illusion conjugale at the Théâtre Tristan-Bernard, which has just been nominated for five 2010 Molières awards. His work has also been highly successful abroad. In early February Sabine Bossan interviewed him.

The foreign promotion department provides support in translating and/or producing a number of plays.
As part of its cultural initiatives it also helps produce several events by giving advice and sending out plays to be read.
In our upcoming newsletters we will be closely monitoring our playwrights’ activities abroad, and will inform you about any new productions and other events.

FACE à FACE - Italy FACE A FACE | Italy | 5 February- 17 July 2010

After its resounding success last year, FACE A FACE, Parole di Francia per scene d’Italia is presenting staged readings and productions of French plays for the fourth year in a row in 10 Italian cities and 20 theaters.
France has reciprocated for the second time with its own programme: FACE A FACE, Paroles d’Italie pour les scènes de France 2010.

The journal Scène, sent to all German theatre professionals and in particular to theatre dramaturgs, is an essential tool for promoting contemporary French-language plays translated into German.
Since 1999, 230 plays have been staged in Germany by authors whose work has been published in the Scène collection (12 volumes).
Since 1999, 156 plays by contemporary French authors have been added to the repertory of major German theatres.

Primeurs - Germany Primeurs | Germany
