A leading venue for new playwriting and an international hub for theatrical productions and dramaturgical experimentation.

La Sala Beckett hosted two French playwrights last summer:
 Jacques Albert and 9 other playwrights took part in a seminar led by Simon Stephens. Albert's play, Une marine, had a staged reading on 7.11 at the Théâtre Mercat de les Flors.

 Frédéric Sonntag is one of the 7 playwrights who participated in the program "7 in One Blow - Seven Playwrights with a Guarantee of Quality" initiated this year. A staged reading of an excerpt of his play, George Kaplan, was held in the same theater on 7.13.

SR 2 KulturRadio, Le Carreau, scène nationale de Forbach et de l'est mosellan, l'Institut Français and the Saarländisches Staatstheater Sarrbrücken, partners of the festival, are presenting French-language plays in German translations.

The program this year includes :
Erwin Motor / Devotion by Magali Mougel, live broadcast on local radio on 11.22, Youri by Fabrice Melquiot, Un château sur le dos by Martin Bellemare, Septembres by Philippe Malone, Nom de domaine by Olivier Choinière and La vie de marchandise by William Pellier.

The Prize for Best Playwright, awarded by a jury of audience members, will be presented at the end of the evening on 11.24.

This year two launches will be held for the collection: 11.13 in Munich, and 11.5 in Vienna.
